The Federal Lawmaker representing Burutu Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi, has awarded full educational scholarships, covering primary school through university, to two young Ijaw talents, Miss Testimony and Miss Faith, in recognition of their exceptional talent and dedication to promoting Ijaw culture through music and dance.
Pondi made the gesture while receiving members of the Smooth Musical Organization at his residence.
Speaking during the visit, he commended Chief Barrister S. Smooth for identifying, nurturing, and supporting young talents, describing him as a key figure in preserving and projecting Ijaw culture. He noted that such investment in the younger generation would help ensure that the music, dance, and identity of the Ijaw people continue to be celebrated, from the creeks of the Niger Delta to the global stage.
